I felt that I was undervaluing my own artwork and not making enough money with my commissions, so I changed my prices to the below:

$35 for a single character with a plain background.

Add $25 for each additional character you wanted added to the illustration.

Add $30 if you want any kind of environment (either natural or architectural) for the background.

Note me for my email address so you know where to send the money.

A headstrong Egyptian priestess, her brother, their sacked colony—and a rescue mission.

When Itaweret’s beloved Per-Pehu falls to the tyrannical Scylax, she and her brother Bek lead a mission to save her captured people and depose Scylax. Along the way, they run into all kinds of perils, friends, and foes—and beasts sent by an angry goddess. Set in ancient Greece 3,500 years ago, this is a tale blending magical realism with history, high adventure with discovery . . . and Itaweret’s determination to save her people while learning her heart’s desires and realizing her deeper purpose.

I am ecstatic to announce that my debut novel, Priestess of the Lost Colony, is out today! You can purchase your very own copy, either digital or paperback, through the link below!

This week, someone commissioned me to draw another user's creature design. Once I had drawn and posted it, the user who had created the original design told me they didn't want other artists making money off their designs. So I have had to take it down.

From now on, I won't be accepting commissions to draw OCs or creatures that were designed by someone other than the commissioner. I've learned that the original artists who designed those characters or creatures may not appreciate it.

The end of 2020

2 min read

So, 2020 is almost over. I knew it was going to be a tough year the moment it started (election years are always tense), but never could I nor anyone else have foreseen just how bad it could get. And you all know exactly why.

I will admit, though, that 2020 hasn't been as cruel to me as it was for so many other people. Yes, it sucks that I have to wear a mask every time I go out in public, and that there are less things to do in public anyway. And then, of course, there's the actual virus to worry about. Yet I've actually experienced a few positive developments this year as well.

For one, I got to see much more of my big sister than I normally do, since this year she decided to move back home and do her work on her computer here (she was living in NYC previously). Second, while I would have preferred Bernie Sanders to anyone else who ran for President this year, at least the election is over and we don't have to endure four more years of Drumpf. And finally, 2020 is the year I finished writing my first novel and found a publisher for it.

For several years now, I've suffered chronic anxiety and dread over what my lot in life would be after I graduated from college. Now it seems that things have been falling into the right place for me. I'm not the most optimistic person in the world by any means, but as far as my personal life is concerned, things have been looking more up than down.

Here's hoping that will continue into 2021 and beyond.
